DAY 1 - Welcome to Almaty

• Your journey begins as you arrive at Almaty Airport, where you are warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Once settled, the rest of the day is yours to relax, explore nearby streets, or simply soak in the atmosphere of Kazakhstan’s most vibrant city. Enjoy a peaceful overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 2 – Medeu Gorge, Shymbulak Ski Resort & Sunkar Falcon Show

• You start your morning with a refreshing breakfast at the hotel before leaving for your guided mountain excursion at 10:30 AM. This tour offers the best opportunity to experience the breathtaking mountain surroundings of Almaty, as you drive towards the scenic Medeu Gorge. Here, in the magnificent Trans-Ili Alatau mountains, you’ll see the world’s largest high-mountain skating rink and the impressive Medeu Dam, built to protect the city from destructive mudflows originating in the western Tien Shan.
• From Medeu, the journey continues upward to the famous Shymbulak Ski Resort. You will board the cable car (tickets included up to the 3rd level) and glide over dramatic valleys and peaks until you reach the highest station at an altitude of 2,230 meters, also known as Talgar Pass. Shymbulak is cherished for its mild climate, many sunny days, winter snowfall, and the remarkable scenery of its surrounding mountain ranges. You may enjoy lunch at Shymbulak at your own cost while soaking in the views.
• At 16:00, you proceed to the Sunkar Falcon Nursery, a truly unique conservation center — the only one of its kind in the entire territory of Kazakhstan. Over the years, the nursery has raised 1,060 birds and released 260 Baloban falcons back into the wild. During your visit, you can admire these rare and beautiful birds, learn about their biological characteristics, and witness a spectacular falcon show (operational from May to October). Trained birds demonstrate traditional hunting techniques, retrieving food from water, and performing impressive aerial manoeuvres while experts share fascinating stories about the history and traditions of falconry.
• After this enriching experience, you transfer back to the hotel and unwind for the night.

DAY 3 – Full-Day Almaty City Tour, Kok Tobe & Shopping

• You begin your day with a warm and satisfying breakfast at the hotel before setting out at 10:30 AM for an immersive full-day Almaty city tour with your English-speaking guide. As you drive through Kazakhstan’s vibrant southern capital, you’ll get to learn about its rich history, rapid development, and the cultural stories that shaped the city. Throughout the tour, you will pass and stop by many of Almaty’s iconic landmarks, including the Palace of the President, Republic Square, the Monument of Independence, Astana Square, Panfilov Park, Abai Square, the Palace of the Republic, and the serene Presidential Park, giving you a deeper understanding of the city’s past and present.
• At 14:00, you have time for lunch at an Indian or local restaurant (at your own cost), after which your exploration continues. By 16:00, you head to two of Almaty’s favourite shopping spots — the lively Green Bazaar and the famous Rakhat Chocolate Factory shop, where you can taste and buy some of Kazakhstan’s most-loved chocolates and local products.
• After your shopping time, you proceed to the charming Kok Tobe Hill, reaching the top via cable car. As you ascend, you'll enjoy beautiful views of the cityscape and surrounding mountains. At the summit, you find yourself on one of Almaty’s most scenic viewpoints, home to the tallest TV tower in the world when measured from sea level. You can take a leisurely stroll along the panoramic walkway, admire the sweeping views of the entire city, visit the iconic Beatles monument (the only one of its kind in the CIS), browse through local souvenir shops, and simply soak in the relaxing hilltop atmosphere.
• Later, you have additional free time to shop at nearby malls before returning to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

DAY 4 – Almaty Free Day

• After enjoying a relaxing breakfast at the hotel, the day is completely yours to shape. You can simply take it easy, unwind, and explore Almaty at your own pace, or you may choose from a variety of optional sightseeing experiences to make the most of your time here. Whether you feel like discovering more of the city, visiting a cultural spot, or adding a little adventure to your day, the choice is entirely yours. Spend the rest of the day shopping, strolling, or simply soaking in the atmosphere before returning to your hotel for a peaceful night’s stay.

DAY 5 – Free Time & Departure

• Begin your last morning in Almaty with breakfast at the hotel, followed by check-out. You still have free time to shop for souvenirs, explore the city once more, or take an optional tour before your departure. When it’s time, you will be transferred to Almaty International Airport to board your flight home, carrying wonderful memories of your Kazakhstan getaway.
